  1. The single contains two B-sides, "Message From The Moon", a Tobin Sprout number about the moon, clearly his favorite subject, and a "home-fi" (even lower than lo-fi!) version of "Worm w/ 7 Hearts" which has been studio recorded for the forthcoming album Class Clown Spots A UFO.
  2. ‘Class Clown Spots A UFO’ is available now. A side benefit of Pollard’s for-now decision to call it quits on touring is that you get more Guided By Voices albums. It’s really hard to see how that’s not a great thing for everyone. Because it is a great thing for everyone. Obviously.
  3. That's not meant facetiously: the last thing Guided By Voices recorded was the rapturously received Let's Go Eat The Factory, and Class Clown Spots A UFO ups the ante raised by that stellar effort, both in terms of recording fidelity (boring!) and songcraft (not boring!).
  4. With Class Clown Spots a UFO, GBV has come full circle, thou probably wiser for the journey. Makes me look forward to the next record, and hopefully the one after that. Makes me look forward to the next record, and hopefully the one after that/5(21).

  6. "Class Clown Spots a UFO" (21 tracks; 40 min. and no, that is not a typo) starts off with 3 of its initial 4 songs each being over 3 min. long, which in Pollack/GBV speak is an epic length. But guess what, they are actually among the best tracks on here/5(14).
  7. May 10,  · "Class Clown Spots A UFO" is the title track from Guided By Voices' forthcoming LP, though it's been knocking around under different titles, and via different recording sessions, for a very long time.
