  1. Dismissed by rock critics but adored by its fans, Head East was the quintessential Midwestern arena rock outfit of the s. Head East, for the most part, wasn't the most challenging band in the world; the St. Louis natives lacked the complexity of progressive rockers, and they weren't nearly as provocative and daring as punk, new wave, and heavy metal artists.
  2. Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5, records and eight-tracks produced.

Get up, get up, get up Get up and enjoy yourself There you are, bottle in hand With some good gold in your pocket You came prepared and the time is right So get up and let's see if you've got it I don't want you sittin' round, wonderin' what's goin' on 'Cause I'm up here to entertain and that's the only game I play So get yourself into the song.
  5. For some reason, the CD is never coming out, but if you are a HEAD EAST FAN, you owe it to yourself to own a copy of this vinyl. It is nothing short of superlative! And for those of you who do own some great recordings on vinyl, do yourself a huge favor, and pick up a decent record cleaner - they make ALL the difference in the world/5(91).

  8. Jun 26,  · This album is definitely not as good "Flat As A Pancake" (another album by Head East). But there's some good songs on this one. I especially like "Trouble" and "I Don't Want The Change". More like stars, but since I can only give whole star ratings 4 out of 5 stars/5(55).
